At Spectrum Drone Services we have over 40 years of experience in operating fixed wing drones to the very highest level in challenging environments. Our very first operational aerial photography survey was carried out with a specially converted fixed wing unmanned aircraft in 1986, so you can rest assured Spectrum Drone Services has the experience to get results.
No matter what your requirement is we have a drone for the job. We presently have fifteen multirotor and fixed wing drones in our inventory enabling Spectrum Drone Services to provide the full spectrum of drone services.
Multirotor
Our multirotor drones are professional level drones with a multi mission capability featuring the very latest technology and safety features.
All our multirotor drones offer the very latest in aerial imagery enabling us to shoot anything from standard resolutions up to 4K as required. We also have the ability to equip our multirotor drones with Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) thermal imagery cameras.

For high end applications Spectrum Drone Services operates the DJI Spreading Wings S900 heavy lift professional multirotor drone.
Our high end aerial filming S900's are equipped with Panasonic Lumix GH4 cameras capable of capturing stunning aerial imagery in multiple formats and resolutions up to 4K.
Spectrum Drone Services S900 drones come equipped with the capability of a dedicated camera operator position as standard for flexibility and truly stunning results.

At Spectrum Drone Services we also operate the DJI Inspire series of drones which are very capable and feature packed aerial platforms.
Just as their big brothers, the DJI Spreading Wings S900's, our DJI Inspire drones come equipped for two person operation as standard so you can rest assured we can obtain the results you require.
For complex applications we utilise the very latest in advanced operating software combined with specialist hardware providing our camera operators with state-of-the-art head tracking camera control via a virtual reality headset. This 'look and shoot' capability has previously only been available in military style applications, at Spectrum Drone Services we use it today. Fixed Wing
Our fixed-wing drones are custom designed and built featuring the very latest technology and safety features offering a reliable cost effective aerial solution.
The latest aircraft to join our fleet is a brand new and specially designed twin engine survey drone which was released in December 2016. Spectrum Drone Services has purchased two of these state-of-the-art drones to join our existing survey fleet.
This extremely robust and feature packed drone features a state-of-the-art autopilot system, multiple redundant safety features and a flight duration of up to 3 hours.
Our survey drones are capable of carrying multiple payloads including 24mp optical camera systems, 4k video cameras or multispectral agriculture crop surveying sensors.

Command & Control
Our custom designed and built Aerial Surveillance & Tactical Reconnaissance Aircraft (ASTRA) provides an advanced ‘eye in the sky’ capability with a state-of-the-art on-board digital autopilot and flight control system.
ASTRA is capable of multiple surveillance options and features a Ground Control Station equipped with multiple two-way telemetry data links, remote sensor control and an advanced digital navigation and flight control system.
Airborne Environmental Monitoring
Our airborne environmental monitoring fixed-wing drones offer similar enhanced control and safety systems as found on our advanced ASTRA Command & Control drones.
We are able to equip our environmental monitoring drones with multiple combinations of sensors depending on the requirement, including;
5k Optical.
Atmospheric Pollution.
Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR).
Multispectral NDVI/DVI.
